Candlelit Restoratives (for all levels)

Restorative Yoga is a way of practicing postures that support the body to create deep relaxation and rejuvenation. By using blankets, bolsters, sandbags, and other yoga props, the body is positioned in ways that support and sometimes gently stretch tight muscles. We also practice supported positions that move the spine gently in various directions, and apply breathing techniques that quiet the mind and nervous system. This weekly class is perfect for those who want to release tension and stress, and it is practiced in a serene, candlelit environment.
Stretch & Restore (for all levels)
with Deanna Nagle
7:30 - 8:45pm
This class includes a variety of poses and gentle floor work, followed by restorative postures and breathing techniques for rest and relaxation. A variety of props and modifications are used in this class to make all of the postures suitable for everyone. All students are encouraged to work at the level that feels right for them.
This class is especially beneficial for those suffering from anxiety, stress and insomnia. Each week focuses on different areas of the body that tend to hold tension, such as neck & shoulders, or hips & low back. Props and hands-on adjustments are used to help students be comfortable and get the most out of their practice. All students are encouraged to communicate with the teacher and ask any questions they may have. In addition to her yoga teacher certification, Deanna has additional training in both restorative yoga and yoga therapy.

This class is an extended version of a typical Restorative Yoga class, offering 2 hours of deep relaxation in supported yoga postures, enhanced by breathing and meditation techniques that deepen the benefits of this wonderful practice. Not only will you feel tension melt away, but you will also restore and rejuventate your nervous system for an overall sense of calm, wellness and peace.
