 Hooping

In our Hooping classes with Tina Hemmerle, students will learn a wide variety of hooping techniques and ways to practice hooping for physical, mental and spiritual health. Each 60 minute class begins with an invigorating stretch, and ends with a meditative exercise. Participants can expect to increase mind-body coordination, flexibility, core strength, and to decrease stress. Other benefits may include weight-loss, a renewed sense of youthfulness, self-confidence, and happiness!
The class is appropriate for all ages and body types. Hoops will be provided and are also for sale in our store.

about the teacher:
Self-taught Hooper Extraordinaire, Tina Hemmerle, has been hooping it up professionally on stage and in the classroom for more than two years. As president of Hemmerle Hoop Company, she has manufactured and sold thousands of hoops to spinners across the country and at her home in the Lehigh Valley.

Tina got into the hoop originally as a form of expression through movement, and quickly found out that the benefits of this activity went far beyond self-expression, when she lost 30 pounds after just six months of hooping regularly. The pure bliss and immediate changes she observed in her own health and happiness led to the development of her instructional hoop curriculum. Hemmerle has imparted her hooping wisdom to men, women, and children ranging from age four to 84, publicly and privately, and has inspired many to unleash a creative force that lied dormant for too long.

She has done advanced studies with the most prestigious hoopers in the country at the first ever national hooping conference in 2008 with plans to instruct at the follow-up conference in 2009. Tina continues to follow her spirit down the "hoop path," and believes that she can help liberate the world through the use of this simple circular device.
